The Eastover neighborhood of Charlotte is one of the city’s oldest historic neighborhoods, founded in 1927 by E.C. Griffith on what was then a group of dairy farms. One of Charlotte’s first suburbs, Eastover’s curving streets and long driveways were built to accommodate the first cars showing up in the city.

Nestled between Myers Park and Elizabeth, the neighborhood now features tree-lined streets, stately homes, and some the area’s best shopping and dining on Providence Road. A pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, Eastover’s businesses and homes are all in close proximity, connected by wide sidewalks. Eastover is home to The Mint Museum of Art on Randolph Road, and the Eastover Elementary School on Cherokee Road.
